In the digital world, I took the bait,

Thought I'd found love, oh what a great date,

But when we met, my heart took a dive,

The one on the screen was not who'd arrive.

Their profile, a work of pure deception,

In reality, a shocking perception,

Catfish in the pond, a lesson learned,

In this online world, trust must be earned.

So be cautious in love's digital stream,

Not all is as it may first seem,

For in the unknown of the online depths,

Beware the catfish who also has bad breath.
