Excerpt from Bugs in the System

In ancient times of human lore,

Insect realms buzzed —less explored.

Civilizations, with laws and might,

Insects too, in their own right.

Human leaders— debates profound,

Insect queens, their colonies crowned.

Cities vast and kingdoms grand,

Insect hives —a complex strand.

Governance's tale, a curious blend,

Human laws and bugs that defend.

From ants in rows to bees that hum,

Insect societies — each a kingdom.

Decision-making in diverse forms,

Human councils— insect swarms.

A whimsical tale, two worlds entwine,

In political realms, their paths combine.
