Hollye's Place!

Hollye Knox is a retired educator, multi-genre writer, and devoted steward of plants and animals in Denton, Texas. She grew up in the 1960s in Lubbock, where she trained and showed Arabian horses and developed an early spirit of courage and independence. While still in high school, she lived on her own—an experience that strengthened the resilience, resourcefulness, and determination she would carry throughout her life. She later earned a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Tyler and devoted more than forty years to education.

Today, Hollye pours her insight, imagination, and compassion into writing that moves fluidly among poetry, satire, cosmic narrative, and reflective prose. Her work ranges from whimsical parables and playful intergalactic verse to profound explorations of grief, healing, personal transformation, and humanity’s shared journey.

Whether tending roses and African violets, caring for animals, swimming beneath open skies, or imagining diplomacy among worlds, Hollye draws inspiration from both the seen and unseen realms. Her writing weaves the mystical into the everyday, inviting readers to contemplate consciousness, metaphysics, emotional truth, and the intricate connections among all living beings.
